As part of the Erasmus+ project, 17 students of Powiatowy Zespół No. 10 Szkół Mechaniczno-Elektrycznych im. Mikołaja Kopernika carried out two-week internships in Portuguese companies in the information technology industry.
During the internships, the students improved professional, linguistic and social competencies. They learned the specifics of the operation IT companies, while improving their communication skills in English language.
Days off from classes became an students an opportunity to learn about the culture and heritage of Portugal. One weekend was dedicated to sightseeing in Lisbon. In the next, together with interns from Romania, Lithuania and the Czech Republic, they visited Fatima, Obidos and Nazare on the Atlantic Ocean, Nazare.
The costs of the students’ stay such as flights, lodging, food, excursions and pocket money in full
were covered by the funding obtained by the school. The guardians of the students were teachers
Dorota Gawron and Maria Czechowska.
This is already another trip of the students Powiatowy Zespół No. 10 Szkół Mechaniczno-Elektrycznych im. Mikołaja Kopernika on foreign professional internships. In previous years they were carried out in Portugal, Spain, Great Britain and Germany.
